Climate:
Poland lies in the zone of moderate climate, intermediate between the marine and continental climates and weather can be quite changeable. In August the temperature ranges from the low 70s F (20oC) into low 90s F (30oC). The entire of Poland lies in Central European Time, the same like Spain and France.
Currency and Credit Cards:
The currency unit in Poland is the Polish Zloty (PLN) which is subdivided into 100 grosze (gr). The current exchange rate to Euro and US dollar can be checked at www.oanda.com/converter/classic (choose PLN as the Polish currency code). In October 2004 it is about 4.3 PLN for Euro and 3.4 for US dollar. Delegates may change foreign currency and travellers cheques at several banks located in the centre of the city as well as in many exchange bureaus, at the railway station, at the airport or in many others places. International credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) are accepted in many hotels, restaurants, and cash machines.
Passport and Visa:
Foreigners wishing to visit Poland should have a valid passport. Citizens of some countries may not need a visa to visit Poland. Please contact with nearby Polish Embassy or consulate Office.
