WARSAW SIGHTSEEING TOUR
(included in registration fee)
A city tour through a charming capital begins at the Old Town, which is a pride of the city. The tour gives an opportunity to see the Old Town with Market Square, St. John's Cathedral, Barbican, Royal Castle and Castle Square. A ride along the Royal Route lets you find out about Warsaw history. There is a possibility to see many old churches (including the Holly Cross Church with the urn of Frederick Chopin's heart), monuments, historic buildings and palaces (many of them are adapted to the embassies and ministries). A walk through the Royal Lazienki Park gives a special atmosphere to the tour. The Royal Route ends in Wilanow, where King Jan III Sobieski established his residence.

WARSAW COUNTRYSIDE TOURS


A half-day guided tours through charming little villages to the world-famous sites like Nieborow, Arkadia and Zelazowa Wola.

CRACOW AND WIELICZKA SALT MINE (Two-day city tour)

This tour creates an opportunity to see a very unique city - Poland’s former royal capital, where legends, history and modernity intertwine. Guided city tour anticipates to visit the Cracow Old Town with the Market Square, St. Mary’s Church, Florianska Gate and Barbican, and of course the Wawel Hill. The Old Town complex and the Wawel Hill are on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Besides history, art and atmosphere Cracow also offers entertainment and relaxation – city is surrounded by theatres, museums, clubs, cafés, bars, wine cellars and restaurants.
The world famous Wieliczka Salt Mine (from 13th century) is one of the oldest mining sites still in uninterrupted operation. According to a legend, salt resources were brought here from Hungury by Blessed Kinga, who married a Polish king. She dropped a ring to a Hungarian salt mine shaft to say “farewell” to her homeland. Salt recourses were soon discovered in Wieliczka.
Underground museum shows the progress of mining technology and development of work organization and displays mining tools and documents related to the mine's history.
3,5 km route is available for tourists through a labyrinth of galleries and caves with unique sculptures in salt rocks. At the deep of 101 meters is the most breath taking chamber – St. Kinga's Chapel, where conferences, wedding, concerts, performances are organized.

Second day gives an opportunity to visit to the largest Nazi concentration camp of World War II - Auschwitz Birkenau. Auschwitz – a grim reminder of Nazi terror and holocaust – is now a Museum of Martyrdom, which consists of brick barracks with tons of hair, shoes, glasses and other belongings of victims, a gas chamber, crematory and death-row cells. There is a possibility to watch a documentary made just after the liberation of the camp.
